Brains on your face!

As a mother, I encounter situations of my everyday life that will always make me cry with laughter. For example, my 5 year old walks into me collaging in my sketchbook and cries "MUM! You got brains on your face!", I genuinely couldn't stop laughing. My daughter is horrified that I'm not keeping my brains in my face, but I'm letting everyone see them instead. Literally.

Moving on, I have edited a few photos from my shoot with the ever lovely Alannah Spence, and begun playing about with our anatomy and entrails. And although I intended to keep them mostly on a portrait style, I've allowed a little extra room for creativity by adding a few organs where they shouldn't/should be.

Also began drawing some of my favourite ones on the canvas board, still using oil pastels and turps to paint into the image, and I must admit, I'm definitely more engaged with the recent images that I've photographed myself rather than the secondary images I've been used to.
