Shattered Glass Hearts

Only a week to go 'till hand in and disaster hits!

I've decided to incorporate some organs into my mod rock body piece, since it's been hardened with resin and fiber matte, I've managed to design a wooden frame for it to be attatched to, with a space in the heart area cut out in order to place an LED light behind it.

Now, I was going to have the full set of organs, that being the esophagus, heart and lungs, but, since we used a plaster of paris mould and filled it with wax glass, it just physically had all the laws of nature against it coming out all together. On the plus side, I managed to get the full let in the liquid latex which doesn't leave me entirely disappointed with the results, it's just not proportionally balanced to fit in the body piece.

However, my wax glass heart turned out beautiful. The pan we used had some little shards of rabbit glue in, so they melted off and blended into the glass, making this beautiful mixture of a mustard hue which reminds me of Goldslick Vodka, literally. But its solid and usable so I think that alone will unify the simplicity and fragility I'm hoping to achieve, with the overall piece.
