Last post for this year, as I've basically come to the completion of my semester and hand in is round the corner! Happily managed to get my family portrait set up and displayed, I wish I'd of took better quality photographs of the work but It's been a rush back and forth!
So I've made the little square wooden blocks that will support the face sculptures to stand upright on the steel nail. They look great, I'm just getting ahead of myself on displaying them, if it was up to me, I'd of gotten real human blood to drip from the wood, all the way down the plinths and onto the floor making oozing puddles of it, and it would change colour as the blood dried- but I must comply to standards and just sit them on a white plinth and be happy with that. Thank you art school for your restrictions.
I also attatched the glass heart onto the frame with (too much) gorilla glue. I'm not saying that I'm not happy with it, but I feel that it still needs more work, as it looks very messy to me. I am quite pleased with the overall look, I feel its definitely took the shape of what I envisioned originally, but I am considering applying liquid latex onto it to actually encase it in a skin.
