As beautiful as it was in the La-La-Land of everybody is loving my work and it's on show- the exhibition is finished and I am now realising I'm going to be moving house, with no time to do any practical work.
So yeah, I'm hitting a bit of a panic button in my brain.
I've started to experiment with a few materials to start on my new work towards the Goreology series, and I'm hoping to go big and go KABOOM, with a body. No, not literally, I'm looking at materials like self expanding foam, liquid latex, balloons, string, gelflex- and morph these into an abstracted body shape. This (hopefully) will reflect the Body Without Organs idea into a very physical manner.
Artists I'm looking at are: Anish Kapoor, Karla Black, Eva Hesse, Sarah Sitkin.
It's reading time for me so if I don't post anything for a while, don't panic! I'm probably stuck into some sort of philosophy chapter that is tearing my understanding of existence, apart! It's all about Deleuze and Antonin Artaud, my two main men at the minute, keeping me confused forever <3
