This is a post being written by a very happy artist called... Me! I got my new place and I must say I'm over the moon to have my own space (small as it may be) to produce my work, in my own time and comfort, it feels like an absolute privilege as an artist.

Obviously I've gotten over excited making plans and wanting to paint this and do that, that I've forgotten that I still need to meet my deadline this semester and decorating will have to wait for the summer.

So here I am, kind of getting a move of with my theory work rather than practical, which is indeed serving its benefits as I'm now finding it so much easier to articulate myself when I talk about my work to other people. I need to admit that at the exhibition, I don't know if it was anxiety, but I did try to avoid people a teeny weeny bit, I guess in a way I'm a little unsure of how people sit with my work when they first look at it. However, my following on Instagram is taking quite a rise, even though I avoided going all out there on social media, it's actually paying off!

I'm going to take advantage of my privacy in the studio to make possible the time to make maquettes of my ideas and start collaging without having to take things out and put them back. There's no need to worry about mess, or the time as I can just do bits and bobs as I go along, I'm definitely taking my collaging forward and want to craft a book of collages, as I really did enjoy making my artist book in my second year projects, these will be done using the shoot I did with my sister, so I already have material I can print off and start with. I just need to make sure I don't stray into my OCD and start decorating lowkey...

Hope this goes well for me, coffee is already my best friend so... if anybody knows how to buy time- hit me up!
