Making the feet

Hello Saturday night, this is me recovering from excruciating pain from a temporary crown and here i am being very exciting on my Saturday night.. anyway,
started setting up my skin in the studio space after making the while frame and glossing it, placed curtain wires aswell, two rows to give me a holding point to have the skin suspended in air, and also to be also to connect larger parts. There isn't much space so I'm going to have to get creative, but I also have managed to decide on a body part to incorporate into the sculpture, (as usual) went all the way back to an artist i'd popped into my sketchbook before, Minna Palmqvist, fashion designer who suspended balloons in mid air, directly on top of a pair of fashionable heels, then recorded being dropped all onto the floor. Really beautiful piece and very symbolic, depending on how you look at it beyond the fashion approach, like Palmqvist, I am going to use the feet as a means to make the viewer completely placed into this disembodiment of the body, giving an inviting approach to the work. I have made these separately to have flexibility enough to re-position them playfully, I'm not a serious artist and it's really exciting me that each time i set this piece up, it will look that little bit different every time.
The alginate didn't come through at the right consistency but we managed to get a fairly decent result from this, and hopefully i have enough time to sand them down and put a little loving on some detail.
So as I sip my red wine, waiting for it to help numb off my face, I'm going to do a little collage experimentation, and watch Sausage Party again. Cannot wait to get back into uni and actually start seeing it coming together, I have made some more sheets by de-utilizing my kitchen surfaces, and creating various distressed patterns.
