Building bridges

I'm not sure if you guys remember, I mentioned I was going to contact two of my most influential artists this semester in the hope of getting some insight on their concept and practice, as well as giving a shot at inviting them to our exhibition, a month from today.

Well Marc Quinn, was a long shot as we knew and didn't reply, but I have began an engaged conversation with Amanda J Rae on facebook! It was a little brutal at the start, since i was trying to be very formal and polite, I just got a response: "Oh I fucking hated that college, nice to hear from you".. Um, I'm not too sure how this is going to develop but I'm guessing our mutual hatred for Moray UHI will connect us both into a hopeful friendship! I've took the liberty to invite her as she's considering coming for the event 'Life After Art School' in Findhorn, which me and my peer are also considering going! I'm so chuffed that in the middle of the stress in between doctors, teeth and assignments, this has really cheered me up and gave me a boost to get things done!

It's technically a month to date from our exhibition which we have decided on calling:

D I S E M B O D I E S, with the most beautiful piece of writing I've probably produced which is our proposal. Me and Alannah are so chuffed for this to happen, there's time drawing close so whether my body is caving in on me or not, i MUST get on ball with making my sellable and bagging them up, as well as both our prints needing done as we know sometimes these things can delay!
