Alt. Realities UPCOMING

So, back into semester two now, ready to attack the exhibition, everybody is pretty much scurrying in thier own panic to get everything done and ready on time for exhibition. Some of us are still finishing the exhibiton piece to put in, while others are arguing about who should finsh painting the gallery.. Anyway, Ive now been allocated my space which is actually quite generous, giving me wall space also where I might be able to add in extra work.

I'd planned to put my Family Portrait sculpture pieces, and I'm sticking to that, I think with the space, there will be an appeal for people to look closely and pay attention to the detail and positioning of the actual pieces. I'm going to display them on top of white glossed plinths and space them in an irregular triangular shape, encouraging people to come and put their nose right into the organs, giving them a full spectrum of the gorefest!

Still deciding what to put up on the wall, out of my collages I'd want to pick one that would compliment the area with the sculptures and not be too distracting.

At the same time, we've put the poster out there, and I've spread the word through high street shops and peers have made it viral, so lets cross our fingers and hope for the best! People seem to respond well to free wine so at least we'll get somebody in, if all else goes wrong, hehe!

In the studio, here I am, trying to still keep active with all other 'being adult' stresses hanging on my vertebrae so I'm still taking my anger out via collage cutting my face up. Thank you art therapy!
